How to save file versions

Now that you have learned how to create projects and how to work with project items, you will get to know some of the special features of AceBackup. In this section, you learn how to save several versions of a file to avoid overwriting it by mistake:

  1. Add the desired file to the project.

  2. Right-click on the file or project name and select Properties.

  3. In the Collision box define the action that should be taken if the file already exists for the backup. Select option Create a new version to save several versions of a file.

  4. If you now process the backup, the new version of the file is added to the backup whenever the file is changed without overwriting the already existing version.

  5. If you right-click this file, the saved version is displayed under Properties/Versions and can be restored if required.

In the next section you learn how to import projects.
