An AceBackup project is a group of files and/or folders selected for storing (backing up) on a backup media. This includes backup settings of the project and the project items.
Project settings include:
the operation the user wants to perform on a project item (e.g. backup, restore, delete),
the location of the backup media,
an optional login and password the user might need to access the backup media,
report settings and others.
There are two types of AceBackup projects: AceBackup archive and AceBackup backup. For more information, refer to the Project types section.
The project contents are displayed in the project view. The user defines the project by adding files and folders to the project view.
The project data is saved in one of the following types of local files:
.nsa for AceBackup
archive or .nsb for AceBackup
backup.
